27 5/8in. nitro monobloc barrels with sunken matt top rib and no under rib, (loose on action), scroll engraving at the breech end, 12 punch marks, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, sprung sliding-breech with converging obturator discs, button barrel release, manual side safety, profusely engraved with stylised acanthus, floral and foliate motifs, bright finish overall, 14 3/4in. stock including buttplate and with provision for Darne patent sling, fore-part with horn finial, weight 5lb. 13oz.
